Strangely I photographed this black & yellow garden spider only 12" from a green lynx spider http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7259013 that was on the next stem of the same plant.

Species ID Suggestions

Most spiders have two claws on each foot, but orb-weavers have an additional claw to help them spin their complex webs. Added to NWF mission for this special adaption.
