That's a shame wijnandr93 - my cat in England used to bring me gifts too - moles, mice, birds, & the occasional venomous snake! I have indoor only cats now - much less distressing (& less messy!) :) Alice,l too. I think they are most prevalent in the US where there are japanese beetle larvae. I read somewhere they also have an important role in aerating the soil.
In case anyone is interested, they eat insects and even though they dig under your grass, they are doing more good than harm.
