Field Notes

Description:

very small, drably colored
Brookesia are the smallest species of chameleons and are not as brightly colored as Furcifer or Calumma chameleons.

Habitat:

rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this on a nighthike in Andasibe National Park. Chameleons can be very hard to see during the day but at night, their bodies are reflective and easier to see with a flashlight. I'm still searching for the species on this one.
