It's a bit normal that they invaded several continents, since it is the man who introduced them to protect crops by eating aphids. It is easier to raise, it breeds better and faster, it is easier to feed than the local species.
These beetles sure do get around...Asia, Europe, North America, wow. They're on their way to inhabiting every continent!
