Field Notes

Description:

A dark beautiful skink about 100mm in length. Had a metallic sheen. Body appeared to bulge out just in front of the hind legs - a meal perhaps??

Habitat:

suburban gardens - eastern Australia

Notes:

This guy remained still for ages and then decided to go home - pic#3. He seemed to struggle to get under the piece of wood, changed his mind and clambered up the side into another hole.
