Description:

This looks like some kind of shield bug. It is really quite large...about 3/4" round.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica 7 weeks into the 6 month dry season.

In North Carolina these LOVE starwberry plants.You have to be carefull when you go to a pick your own farm...you could end up eating many a stink bug.
