Field Notes

Description:

Stunning small honeyeater, long curved black beak, black/grey body/wings with blue sheen, red eyes, white chest with centre patch of chestnut edged with black, lower underbody chestnut, nape of neck chestnut, head black. Fast moving bird, high fast call.

Habitat:

Found along eastern Australia in forest and heathlands.
