Field Notes

Description:

A simple white coloured duck with a distinctive chestnut band around the chest. The back of the duck is also wulnut brown in colour and connects to the circular chest band. The wingtips are wulnut to black in colour. The feet and bill are pink.

Habitat:

Mangrove flats and paperbark tree swamps, lagoons, and billabongs.
