Field Notes

Description:

Hoverfly with yellow stripes on abdomen with the first one being broken. The thorax is golden and wings are clear. The cheeks are dark which helps ID this species.

Habitat:

Resting on Yellow Iris and a fallen Angel's Trumpet flower on ground in backyard.
