Description:

Gamebird with red bill and legs, and white throat, bordered with gorget of black spots; plumage otherwise mainly blue-grey and warm buff except for black and white barring on flanks.

Habitat:

Found on arable land and marshes. Favours rocky ground. Widespread in Iberia and South France.
