Field Notes

Description:

Small shrub with blue daisy-like flowers about 3cm across. Leaves hard approximately 3cm long with a wedge-shaped tip.

Habitat:

Growing on stony road cutting on outskirts of village/edge of pine forest at around 100m elevation.

Notes:

I'm not 100% sure about this identification. 'Alupon' is the name used by Dioscorides for this plant.(Dioscorides 4.180 in Hellmut Baumann 'Greek Wild Flowers')
