Description:

Family Noctuidae.

Habitat:

Eastern North America south to South carolina - west to texas. Flight: May - October. Host Plants: Alders, cabbage, roses, sumacs, walnuts, and other plants.

Notes:

Size: 1.5". 9:46 pm EST. Temp: 65. July 28, 2012. Observed under porch light.
