Description:

These are also called Bachelor's Buttons. I have seen a species of moth (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1494566003) and a nymph of another insect (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1489516006) on these several times, so I think they are an important host plant for them.

Habitat:

Pine flatwoods
