I'm no butterfly expert but it looks more like V. dejone to me.
Definitely the same, The Cruiser. I knew I saw yours somewhere. Looks like it's in better shape than mine too!
Haha, I'm often in that situation Dan - I get in late & just can't wait until the next day to add my spottings!
Thanks Karen, you're totally right, that's my bad. I loaded up a moth earlier and made a mistake on this one. I shouldn't be uploading spottings late at night! Hahaha!
Lovely! I can't help with the ID other than it is most likely a butterfly not a moth. There are a small number of diurnal moths with clubs at the end of the antennae but usually only butterflies have this feature.
