Description:

With a bold compressed body, about 30cm in size approx. Sandy or Greenish in color and with numerous venomous spinal columns along its spine, the Demon Stinger is closely related to the true stonefishes some of the most venomous fish known.

Habitat:

Spotted at Pulu Cinta - Sulawesi, a sandy atoll reef, hidden on the reef.
They are widespread in tropical and temperate seas, but mostly found in the Indo-Pacific.

Yes true a very scary face! And really appropiate name ;)
Jordi, if you look up the Wikipedia link, the face do looks quite similar, which is part of the reason for the name - Demon Stinger.
Hi Albert, thanks for the ID, this pic is the best I have, it was absolutely static and just the head was visible as it was inside a hole in the coral.
Hi Jordi, do you have more pictures of this Spotting? Did it flared out its pectoral fins in a defensive display to show colourful pectoral fins? I think this is likely the Demon Stinger - Inimicus didactylus, and not a Stonefish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inimicus_didactylus
