Field Notes
Description:
The Eastern Yellow Robin is a medium sized robin. It has a grey back and head, and yellow underparts. The throat is off-white and, in flight, there is a pale off-white wing bar. The bill is black.
Habitat:
They are found in various areas, dry woodland to rainforests. This one was with the Superb Fairy-Wren and Variegated Wren.
Notes:
We were walking back from the Queen Mary Falls and found the wren and robin on the footpath. We watched them for quite a while and they were quite unafraid, but hard to capture because they moved constantly. I could have stood there longer but other walkers wanted to get past and sadly they flew off!
