Field Notes

Description:

Light/pale green, with one dark spot at the base of each raptorial leg, on the inside part. Has a very mobile, triangular head with large compound eyes and it's first pair of legs (the ‘raptorial legs’) is highly modified for the efficient capture and restraint of fast moving or flying prey. Along with the forward directed compound eyes there are also simple eyes to be found on the head.

Habitat:

Lowland hillside meadow, exposed to the south, very sunny.

Notes:

This one obviously a juvenile since its wings were undeveloped. Was very camera shy and kept moving away, finally hanging upside down behind a leaf, hoping my camera wouldn't pay too much attention it :)
