Habitat:

Spotted in long grass not far from the sea.

Notes:

One of only two robins that I saw all winter.

Thanks, Malcolm. I didn't know that they were so limber! I hadn't seen a robin all winter, so it was nice to see that flash of red in the grass.
With that amount of red it could not really be anything else in that area. If it was in Asia it might be confused with some Thrushes and Flycatchers but in the Western Isles of Scotland I don't think those are even vagrants. I don't recall the Americas having anything like that. Just having a stretch.
Sorry for the terrible photo, but is this a rather slender-looking robin?
