Field Notes

Description:

It's well known for its flame liking flowers. In Taiwan(Lat: 23.0),Its flowers begin to bloom in May and can last to July. The trees have even-pinnately compound leaves.

Notes:

Living in the tropics,There're always plenty of colorful flowers in blossom throughout a year. One of my favorite is 鳳凰木 ( Flame of the Forest). We call it 鳳凰木 because its flower is like 鳳凰,which is a creature in legends, kind of like phoenixes .And you can actually use its petals to form the shape of 鳳凰!
