Field Notes

Description:

Wings greenish. Centre of the back has an inverted triangle of sorts in a darkish colour. Eyes are reddish brown. Looks like a pttern of running (straight)-stitch on the body.

Habitat:

There's this weedy patch of land right behind my office which they cleaned up recently. It used to be a haven for butterflies. Now only a few straggly plants are left; no butterflies...this leafhopper was on one of those leftover plants.

Notes:

Many Many thanks to Mark Ridgway for ID...you will need to scroll the reference a bit but he nailed it!.

CindyBinghamKeiser....added to Hopper's mission. I am sorry I do not have the name of the plant it was found on...is it OK for me to add a photo here? Or will that become another spotting then? I will definitely add information on food source in my next spottings. Thanks.
