Found the correct ID finally and I was wrong. This is Paropsis rufitarsis (Chapuis) Thank you Gunter.
Thank you Leuba. I do love a solved Identification and it does so look like Dicranosterna, now that I know.
D.hemisphaerica looks quite impressive - a perfect dome !
Thank you Leuba. This beetle is not Paropsis at all, but Dicranosterna: hemisphaerica. It was determined based on this image, which has since been moved from Paropsis to Dicranosterna. http://agspsrv34.agric.wa.gov.au/ento/images/P_hemisphaerica.jpg
That is so like citrus and so cute! It will be great in your collection Martin. Well done Christiane.
Maybe a lime? It is tiny.
This is probably uncommon in general as I am not familiar with any other image online of this beetle. This is the beetle that prompted me to contact you. I di not expect to see it again. I will do some homework on it shortly.
Love the green beetle.. They are not so common around here.. :)
