Field Notes

Description:

Large grey/brown and white eagle with grey head. A white tail with black terminal band.

Habitat:

Generally found near inland areas of water and less frequently on the coast. This bird was photographed at the Botanical Gardens in downtown Singapore on Swan Lake.

Notes:

Although has a status of Near Threatened (NT), I have observed this bird quite often at this site over the last couple of years. Easy meal to be had in this well stocked lake.
