Description:
This species of butterfly, is relatively common around north Texas, and throughout southern United States, and going as far south as south America. This butterfly was hanging out inside the patio enclosure, and was very weak, because in the winter, there is no flowers for it to feed on.So I went outside with the butterfly, trying to find a food source for it.I luckily found sap of the cut stump of a banana tree, and placed it on the stump. It drank the sap, until it was able to fly, and so I placed it back on the passion vine plant.
