Field Notes

Description:

Small.. about 10mm body length and very well camouflaged on this background of scale insect shells.
Would not have been noticed if it hadn't moved it's legs.

Habitat:

Open dry woodland. <br> On a 1 metre length of small eucalyptus stem covered with the remains of an erriococcid genocide (probably the work of euro wasps)

Uff. Wish I could send you some. We get nearly 20 feet of rain a year. I trust the rain will come soon.
Thanks Tukup. We are suffering a dreadful drought here so there's not much to find. I sort of felt sorry for this tiny guy. Amazing how these find the perfect location for their camo though... like they know what they look like. ;-)
