Description:

Wings about 1 3/4 inches long, small hook on the outside back end of the wing. This moth is very furry yellow.

I was thinkinh it was from genus geometridae, but couldnt find anything resembling it, so Imay be way off. Please help!

Looks very like:Automeris belti http://www.whatsthatbug.com/2012/05/11/giant-silkmoth-from-costa-rica/ The difference is the colour of the moth's head in your spotting is yellow. It is dark in the reference...but the two do look very similar. Take a look.
