J,you know more than me about moths, i looked at the Geometer images and none of them had such a prominent snout.The wavy pattern is suggestive of ,though.
Emma, I'm not sure whether this is in the same family as the Variable Antepione. It looks more like a crambid to me, but it could be a geometer as well.
