Description:

Maple Spanworm Moth - Adult: resembles an autumn leaf - wings deeply, unevenly scalloped, bright orangish-yellow, variably spotted with brown, shaded with reddish-brown toward outer margin, and held 30-45 degrees above horizontal when at rest (a distinctive feature, visible at a distance)

Thanks @ianmaton - i've updated the listing, much appreciated!
I've looked through several sites for pictures of this Thorn Moth, and other Geometrid types, but can't come across any yet without the lines either - have to keep looking :)

Closest I can get is Ennomos autumnaria (Large Thorn )
It is most defintely a Thorn Moth but trying to find one that has no lines on the wings I haven't found yet.
