What is this!? Is it a bug? Crustacean? Deformed? Missing the rest of its body?

It was sitting on the edge of my bird bath, about 1 inch in length.

I've never heard of these! I guess a bird had a big snack, leaving the rest on the bird bath. Lol

Machi is correct; it is a mole cricket. Or rather, it WAS a mole cricket....
