Description:
Family: Rubiaceae. A deciduous tree with scented orange flowers in dense globe-shaped clusters. It can be easily confused with its kin 'Anthocephalus cadamba' from the same family, but there are minute differences in leaves, size of the flower and fruit and also in nature of the tree. A. cadamba is an evergreen tree whereas M.parvifolia is a deciduous one. In india, both have religious importance and have been used in traditional medicines.
Habitat:
Native to India. Grows along roadsides and avenues. Grown for ornamental purpose most of the time.
