Field Notes

Description:

Day geckos have rounded pupils. Many have brilliant colors that help with inteaspecies recognition and so serve as camouflage.

Habitat:

Introduced to Hawaii by humans as a form of pest control.

Notes:

In contrast to most other geckos, day geckos are active mainly during the day.

I bet you're loving it! I would love to be in Hawaii right now. Starting to get cold here. Madagascar was phenomenal! I saw a ton of amazing things there. When you have some time just search for Madagascar on my profile and you can see some of the spottings I've posted. There is a lot of spottings from Madagascar now but when I first joined Noah (apr/11) there were hardly any at all, so I added a lot of my photos.

Nope! It's actually my eighth. I arrived the beginning of October and am loving it!
Very cool! I saw these in their native habitat in Madagascar. I remember you said you were moving to Hawaii, this must be your first spotting from there?
