Field Notes

Description:

Light pink Hibiscus flower with velvety-green leaves. This was about 1 foot tall but can grow to 4 feet tall. "The petals can be rice paper thin, and on some plants nearly translucent; the flower petals are broad and roundish, also overlapping; the entire flower is a broad cup shape." The last image shows the entire plant but there is White Sage intertwined in it.

Native plant growing in Creosote Bush Scrub at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park,
