Field Notes

Description:

A medium brown spine-fungi with a very coarse scaly cap. Edible but not delicious.

Habitat:

Conifer Forest including Douglas fir and Sub-alpine fir.

Notes:

Found beside the Lightning Lakes Trail in Manning Provincial Park.
