Field Notes

Description:

Black brown thick snake. Its hood had some lighter patches and it had a diamond on the back of the hood.
It was shedding its skin as it had some dry skin around his belly area.
Here you see where he went under the house and there are some sheds of skin. I believe one is a bit of its tail.

Habitat:

Under our house! Phuket Thailand. Near mangroves and jungle.

Notes:

We heard the dogs bark and there it was! Big and thick. It was rearing up to defend itself against the dogs. One of our dogs tried to bite his tail. He treatened to strike but chose to flee under our house.
Here you can see where he went under the house and some parts of his/ her skin.
