Description:

This young bright green feathery bush is quite common here. I see it often and have been trying to figure out what it is for a while now. It's feathery, soft not "woodsy" and in the photo you can see its brightly colored green as there is new growth since recent rains. This individual was about 2 feet high and was found in Southern New Mexico. It produces yellow flowers when in bloom.

Habitat:

Botanically diverse desert low flanks of the Organ Mountains.
