Description:

The turtle in picture one was around 2 feet wide, the others next to it are red-eared sliders. The turtle in picture 2 was a little smaller than a foot wide, I almost had a much closer picture of it, but I was noticed climbing through the river cane. I was about to try and catch it from under the water until I noticed a cottonmouth swimming in between me and the turtle.

Habitat:

San Gabriel river
