Description:

3-4 inch wingspan (7.62 - 10.16 cm) This was 4 inch female. Black with bright blue and orange dot on wing. Feeds on nectar of variety of plants as adult including spice bush, honeysuckle, sassasfras. Flutters wings while feeding, Flies low.

Habitat:

Eastern USA to midwest. Meadow of the Poconos. PA
