Field Notes

Description:

This is a tall tree. We estimate it would take about 15 second graders to equal the height of the tree. This is a heritage tree. The bark is brown, grooved, and crumbly. There are smaller branches coming off of the larger branches. The leaves were smooth, thin, short, and always came in twos. There was some sap coming out of the bark. The seeds were in pine cones which were small. It took two second graders to hug the diameter of the tree.
