Description:

Tarantula crossing!

Habitat:

High Chihuahuan Desert

Notes:

We spotted our first tarantula while eating dinner on the front porch. My husband named her Biscuit. When frightened if we came too close, she would draw herself into a little ball, hunker down and go still, hoping to pass for a rock.
