Notes:

I always run into these little arthropods within folded up leaves. The black individual seems to be the mature one, while the beige-white individuals are larvae, I presume.

You're welcome! And you're right, the paler ones are the juveniles.
That tiny little insect is a thrips. (yes thrips is both singular and plural, no idea why).
