I think it is probably as suggested but no flower is visible. It is native to Central and South America, but it is now an invasive pantropical weed. The comments here illustrate why Scientific names are important: More than one species can have the same common name. A species can have more than one common name. A scientific name stands for one species only.
This is interesting, there is a plant I have in my woods that is called a jewelweed or a touch-me-not and it doesn't look like this. I suppose ours could be a variation. But, nice ID.
