Field Notes

Description:

The wingspan is 80–110 mm. The larvae feed on Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera). Adults do not feed.

Habitat:

It is found from Massachusetts east through central New York, southern Ontario, and southern Michigan to central Illinois, south to the Florida panhandle and Mississippi.

Notes:

Spotted on exterior wall of local business in Ellijay, GA
