Field Notes

Description:

About 4-5cm across and about 6-7cm high. Striking coloration ranging from white on the outer edge through oranges reds and browns, darkest at the base. Underside in third photo is a pale creamy brown colour.

Habitat:

Found growing on a rotting log in native NZ bush in Maungatautari Sanctuary Mountain Reserve. Growth is vertically of the side of the fallen log.
