Field Notes

Description:

This timid little turtle was sitting on the flooded football field on Maxwell AFB, AL. He was several hundred feet away from the pond that I normally see them in. This guy was very shy, as you can see, not wanting to emerge his head from outside of shell.

Notes:

There is also a video of him about 30 minutes after these photos were taken, making a "running" escape back to the pond.
