Field Notes

Description:

I really have had little hope of finding any moths around here but after 2 weeks of leaving night lights on, finally one little straggler came in from the cold to warm itself on our kitchen table. After a warming mead and a couple of stories it said it was the only one out there. 20mm long.

Habitat:

Attracted by indoor lighting at midnight. Suburban fringe.

Notes:

Must be a winter moth. Species yet to be found.
