By exploring our “Backyard Ecosystem” at the Academy for Science and Design in Nashua, NH, environmental science students will have the opportunity to become citizen scientists by observing, collecting, and sharing real-world data. Students will practice their observation and data recording skills through documentation of the living and nonliving things in Nashua, NH. Utilizing their basic understanding of food chains, students will also explore relationships between identified species.

1. Find, identify, and share data for species located within 10 miles of the Academy for Science and Design, in Nashua NH.
2. As much as possible, species should be native and naturally occurring.
