Mission Description
The development of stewardship behaviour in children is more likely to emerge when one or more of the following three learning conditions are present:
1. Children have agency over their learning process.
2. Children spend time in natural settings.
3. Children's stewardship actions are linked to their classroom learning.

In an environmental context, stewardship refers to human actions that contribute to a sustainable future for humans, animals, and plant species alike. Acts of stewardship grow from a deep respect for, and desire to protect, the balance of nature within the Earth’s biosphere.
