Field Notes

Description:

The tulip of Didima is a gentle perennial bulbous plant. It belongs to the species Tulipa undulatifolia.

It is considered the most beautiful of the Greek tulips, beautiful and delicate. Its flowers are bell-shaped, and internally have a deep purple color with a narrow band of golden yellow.

In Didima , the early flowering of the wild tulip, even when it is cold, impresses us even more. A symbol of abundance in the East, the most beloved flower of high society in the West.

The word tulip is mentioned in many myths. Myths thanks to which it became the emblem of absolute love.

The promotion and highlighting of the unique plant aims to protect the natural heritage of the community of Didima
