Field Notes

Description:

Some sort of damselfly nymph was found in a tub of water, feeding on ornamental shrimp. After several days it began swimming erratically at the surface. I offered it a stick and it climbed out to do a final moult, becoming an adult. It is about an inch long.

Habitat:

Near water, temperate climate.
