Suillus brevipes

Comments (1)

Looks like the genus might be Suillus, the slippery jacks. Upon flipping a couple of pages in my guide, it might be Suillus brevipes, the short-stemmed slippery jack. Although it's been introduced to Argentina, India, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan (says Wikipedia), I'm unsure if it's found in Africa. I'd have to look more into this, but nice find! Suillus are almost always pleasantly aesthetic. :)
