Description:

I'm trying to id this tree in hopes that it will make it easier to figure out what's going on with the fermentation. It looks like some kind of slime flux.
I've seen slime flux in Missouri, and it brought in all kinds of butterflies and bees etc. This seems to have attracted fruit flies, but not the bigger stuff.

Habitat:

In the Don Valley within 100" of the river.
